Warwick Museum Warwickshire
Client: Warwickshire County Council
The Grade II* listed Warwick Museum is housed in Warwick’s Market Hall, a building constructed in 1670 to house the town’s markets and other trading activities.
Last fitted out in the 1970s, the Museum was in need of a redesign and reorganisation of the ground floor exhibition space and displays. The Museum curators also wished to improve access to the building and its upper floors. The Practice were commissioned to consider these challenges while respecting the significance of the building.
The Practice initially completed a Fabric Condition Report and Conservation Plan which was used to inform the design options to extend public access and reopen the existing windows.
