Cliveden Estate Buckinghamshire
Client: The National Trust
The Grade I listed house and gardens at Cliveden were originally constructed in the 1660’s as the home of the 2nd Duke of Buckingham, to the designs of William Winde. The Mansion and estate are presently in the care of the National Trust.
The Practice were commissioned to act as lead consultant for the preparation of a Quinquennial Inspection Report and a Conservation Management Plan for the entire estate, including the Mansion. This work included carrying out a detailed inspection of all built structures and coordinating the contributions of others in the fields of collections, landscape, archaeology and biodiversity.
This survey and the accompanying gazetteer were uploaded to an electronic database giving survey information, repair recommendations, plans and photographs for use by National Trust staff. The software for this database was designed by the Practices sub-consultant, IT Partnerships.
